Lebanese Grade 9 Maths: Remedial Foundations

Lebanese Grade 9 Maths: Remedial Foundations

Selective English-language Grade 9/Brevet support using verified CRDP 2025–2026 references. These four lessons revisit real numbers, algebraic expressions, proportion and coordinate lines. This is not a full Brevet course, does not cover every referenced objective, and has not been verified against official 2026–2027 requirements.

What you will learn

  • Calculate with signed numbers, integer powers and square roots while checking which expressions are defined in the real numbers.
  • Expand products, collect like terms and factor simple expressions, preserving denominator restrictions when simplifying a fraction.
  • Find and use a constant of proportionality, and distinguish direct proportion from a relationship with a fixed starting amount.
  • Plot ordered pairs, calculate slope for a nonvertical line, and interpret y = mx + b using a table and graph.

Who it is for

English-language Lebanese Grade 9/Brevet learners who need targeted prerequisite repair.

Prerequisites

  • Basic whole-number arithmetic and familiarity with fractions; revisit earlier foundations if these are insecure.

Included learning material

  • Four original written lessons with worked examples and independent practice.
  • Explanatory answer keys and accessible text/table visual explanations.
  • A written module self-check and capstone with model answers and rubric.

Lesson sequence

  1. Real numbers powers and square roots
  2. Expand and factor algebraic expressions
  3. Recognise and use proportional relationships
  4. Read coordinates and straight line relationships
