TOEFL Reading: Words, Everyday Texts, and Academic Passages

00
0 Enrolled

Build reading accuracy through word completion, everyday messages, and short academic texts. Includes four focused lessons, 12 native lesson knowledge checks, and a 14-question native final practice assessment with answer review.

Welcome

This course teaches a repeatable reading process: notice the language, identify the purpose, and test each answer against the text. You will practise the current task families: Complete the Words, Read in Daily Life, and Read an Academic Passage.

How to use the course

Work through Lessons 1–3 before the mixed practice in Lesson 4. Then complete the native Lesson Knowledge Checks and Final Practice Assessment in the curriculum; submit your answers there to receive course-practice grades. Lesson examples and exercises remain ungraded self-study. Try the guided examples before reading their explanations. Keep an error log containing the question ID, the clue you missed, and one action to try next time.

The official Reading section is adaptive. This course is a fixed sequence of independent practice activities and does not reproduce adaptive routing. No placement level or official score is generated.

What you need

A place to keep study notes, access to the native quizzes, and a willingness to explain your answers. A dictionary can help during review; first attempts are more informative if you work without one. All passages and examples in this course are original teaching material.
